Malo
Mazurié is a young French trumpet player, residing in Bretagne. A fan of
Bix Beiderbecke, he is regularly invited to play in international jazz
festivals, in France, Germany, Holland and Japan (where he was awarded the
Kobe Jazz Street Award). He first met Jean Pierre Almy (Double Bass) 4
years ago and despite being only 14 at the time, already displayed a
characteristic phrasing and undeniable swing. The musical complicity and
friendship that followed, led them to join forces and create the Westalk
Quartet.
